Miss Faustina Maria Vee

Faustina, also known as Tina, is the only daughter of Lord and Lady Vee of America. She is of the tender age of 17 when I tell this tale.

As some of you may know, Lady Vee, Tina’s mama, first made her blogosphere appearance last year at the Pemberley Ball hosted by Mr Darcy. She is a distant relative of Fitzwilliam Darcy and his sister Georgiana.

The Last Stitch gown . . .

Lady Vee’s time and efforts were devoted to finding an appropriate wife for Darcy. She spent most of the evening introducing and presenting eligible young women to Darcy. Unfortunately, she neglected her daughter.

Tina passed the evening most happily in the presence of Georgiana. She played many hands of whist and showed her uncanny cardshark abilities in the gaming room which is why you may not have been aware she was present.

Lord and Lady Vee and Miss Tina have done with England…for now. Being booksellers in America they have acquired wonderful newly published works to add to their inventory. Lady Vee is most pleased with their lastest acquisition of Jane Austen titles:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (the prequel)
Dawn of the Dead
by Jane Austen and Steve Hockensmith

Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters
by Jane Austen and Ben H. Winters

Emma and Werewolves
by Jane Austen and Adam Rann

Emma and Vampires
by Jane Austen and Wayne Josephson

Mansfield Park and Mummies
by Jane Austen and Vera Nazarian
The months of April and May find the Vee family traveling in Italy for more book acquisitions and social events. As a part of the elite society, they have been invited to attend the Masked Ball in Veniche.

The Masked Ball has presented itself to be the perfect vehicle for Lady Vee to tend to young Tina’s social circle.

With much prodding from Lady Vee, Tina is attending the Masked Ball to practice her dancing skills and polite etiquette.

Lady Vee, being a mother of the times, hopes that her Tina will catch the eye of a prospective handsome husband.

Will Tina keep to her promise of dancing?

Will Tina be drawn to the call from the Jack of Spades?

Will Tina meet a Jack of her heart?

You will have to attend the ball to find out…
