Holiday…
What does a writer do when she’s having a holiday away from fiction for awhile?
She picks freesias as a reminder that spring is only 6 weeks away!
She looks at the view over the Derwent River from the house in town.
She approves the garden’s stirling efforts at regeneration after fencing off from the wallabies and after being mulched copiously.
She checks the white daphne and notices it’s not far off flowering.
And sees the first primrose!
And wonders if she should pollard the pin-oak this year or just let it grow to block view of new neighbour’s ugly house, blockwork terraces, no garden and industrial size water tanks.
She thinks she might do some demanding stumpwork…
But opts for the free and easy thread painting of a bird, for a cushion.
Basically she just chills out and lets her mind wander on spring, summer , the water, the beach, boating, kayaks, swimming…
Sounds lovely Prue. Enjoy! 🙂
Thanks so much Summer. Am looking at glorious winter view as I write. Looking forward to checking out your pins when I have stronger internet connection!
