Cover contenders…
Bearing in mind that Richard Armitage
is far too busy filming the last of Oakenshield’s role in The Hobbit to make himself available for a cover shoot for Gisborne: Book of Knights, I have had to find others who might conceivably take his place.
These are the contenders.
Do they cut the mustard, do you think?
5th May:
Have just found another image and despite the later timeframe (Renaissance) am rather overwhelmed by the suitability of this young man.
By the way, Mr. Armitage had this to say about Gisborne:
picture number 3. Looks sensitive, sexy, thoughtful but manly. Deffo!
Hmm. Interesting! I am inclined to agree, except most people know this chap as the Bastard of Burgundy. Maybe if it is cropped and photoshopped a little…
Like Alex, I thought The guy with the arrow first. But if #1 was cropped so the guy wasn’t obviously a monk, that might work too. He’s got a fabulous face. Looks as if he’s thinking deep thoughts. Or plotting revenge…
I think whatever the case, there will be much cropping done… rather like the editing with the ms!
You’ve set the bar high with Mr Armitage. Will anybody ever reach the same heights of rugged manliness, dark broodiness or subtle sensitivity?
Probably not, MM, and therein lies the difficulty…
I think #1 has the most interesting face, and if cropped could work.
Thanks Rafaella for your input…I’ll be interested to see what the cover designer decides.
