Messing about on the water…
Sometimes I need solitude.
Sometimes I need the ocean like some people need chocolate.
This is one of those weeks…
Jumped out of bed far too early, into the kayaking gear. Towed the kayak on wheels to the beach. No breeze, flat calm.
A sea mist was still hovering out to sea behind Maria Island.
My legs paled to white-ish with the chill of the water, certainly not summer warm yet.
But the day glistened…
And I sat atop a small swell, watching it break on my port side.
Best of all?
No white pointer sharks – although my paddle looks a little the worse for wear.
But that’s another story…
Sounds as though it was just what you needed Prue 🙂 Hopefully it will have done you the world of good
It was fab, Libby, thank you. I’m always at ease on the water.

Knew you’d understand, fellow islander!
