Listen to the falling rain listen to it fall…

Mizzle and drizzle. Rain and showers. Fog and mist. Easterly waves and wind.

This has been going on for nearly nine days.

I know I should be glad, being a good farmer’s wife and all, but the truth is I hate it… (Mind you, I’m glad I’m not a small fruit grower and we’ll certainly have to look out for flystrike on the sheep in the humidity.)

Inside is no better – the clothes we wore walking the dogs on the beach in the rain hang on the clothes horse because tiny House doesn’t boast a clothes drier. I feel as if I live in a laundrette.

I made chocolate sauce from my mother’s and aunt’s age-old recipe using cocoa, brown sugar and milk.

I made pizzas for dinner tonight.

The garden of course is in love with this weather and so whilst it revels,

I retreat to Pawns to check the layout and formatting before it heads back to be print published in a revised and freshened edition.
