Come on, get happy…
According to the media, the world is a pretty miserable place at the moment and I refuse to allow that to affect my life and how I live it because my part of the world is quiet with breathtaking vistas. It offers a myriad of beautiful things that cosset and nurture.
Life is too short not to be happy.
I no longer listen to the news on radio and TV. I’ve replaced all that with the silence of my garden and the birds that inhabit it or the sound of waves on the beach. For the car, there’s a collection of music and audio-books or I just talk to the dogs.
I choose to take pleasure in a few simple things.
Cooking fattening food…
And then walking.
Dogs.
Kayaking.
The farm.
Beaches and more of them.
Embroidery – stitch by stitch.
Gardens – every weed-pulling, soil-stirring and seed-planting moment.
Sunshine. Lots of it.
Writing – a true pleasure.
Friends. From everywhere.
And most importantly family… my daughter, my son and my hubbie. (I love this image of father and son at the farm yesterday.)
We all need a little happy in our lives!
I’ll drink to that!!!!
