Relax! It’s Sunday…
What did I do when it was a cold, mizzly Sunday?
I went to Blackman’s Bay and watched the waves pelting round the point.
Straight from Antarctica.
There’s nothing like crashing waves, spray and rock and roll.
Then I came home and got out the age-old recipe book…
That was given to the lady who built and owned House before we did, by her friend Mabel.
I looked up fruit chutney and set the last of last summer’s fruit to boiling with spices and sugar and vinegar.
Bottled it to keep us going until the new fruit is ready for picking in January/February.
And I placed the last bags of loganberries and redcurrants in a pan and made jam.
Bottling that to keep the house going until the first berries are ready in about 3 weeks.
And then I sat down to watch the Dr.Who episode to end all Dr.Who episodes!
(Certainly puts a new slant on Elizabethan England!)
And so, that was my Sunday.
How was yours?
