Practicing…
Still playing with the camera. Looking for colour and detail in House’s garden.
Nasturtium … have to say, love it in salads. Nutty flavour, and the colour? Fab…
African Daisy … boring but always colours up in summer despite droughts…
Pigface … actually wild on the beach … take it or leave it…
Honesty … the seed heads are magnificent, literally mother-of-pearl and show me one woman who doesn’t love pearls…
Native Convolvulus … I love this plant – strong, active, and a super little flower that gives more than you’d think…
Aquilegia … good old Granny’s Bonnet. Always reliable so how can I not love it? And I have white ones in my white garden. Love that the whole plant seeds prolifically…
Hoop Petticoat … Well seriously, who needs common old hosts of Goldens when you have these unique little Hoop jobbies in the garden…
Opium Poppy, Lambs’ Ears and Forget-me-knot … yes, opium poppies. Long story. Suffice to say, the flowers are lovely, the heads not so much and when you cut the heads to prevent seeding they stain everything with a horrid white latex. Don’t touch it with bare hands. Lamb’s Ears? Love them before they flower and I cut the stems before the pink flowers bloom. I just love the velvety dove grey leaves…
Lily of the Valley … stunning, shy and very subtle perfume…
I have no idea … but it’s intriguing…
Some more of I Have No Idea…
The camera performed better this time. I’m learning…
I think you are getting the hang of it – another set of beautiful pictures to start my day.
Thanks Ann!
So many of the flowers I love, and others I’ve now seen for the first time! Thanks for your camera skill, Prue!~
No skill, Lynn. I am such an amateur. But flowers that I love too! Thanks so much for following the blog.
Its neat to see so many of the flowers I grow in S.W. Idaho that also grow at your home in AUSTRAILA. Would you please take a pic of your White garden. I for one would love to see it.
Maggie, if you go back a couple of posts – you’ll see pics of my ebony and ivory garden and also a few posts before that another one called ‘mostly white’. Sadly it’s nearly all over. It’s very much spring flowering in my garden and summer is just plants struggling to cope with the heat and dry.
