Reading n’ writing…
When in the city, this is my reading and writing corner of the study/spare room…
Love reading with the feet up. Note stickies poking out of research book like echidna’s spines…
The shelves that contain the most used of the research books, my absolute favourites because of their clarity and information, also a container of many pens, a Snow Queen Matrushka Doll, bookmarks celebrating earlier books of mine…
Pics of my adored Jack Russells through the years, a piece of stone from the twelfth century Templar Commanderie at Brignoles, France, a 100 year old needle-case and some shells and the wonderfully fragrant and elegant Climbing Rose Whose Name Cannot Be Remembered…
Views northeast (Terrible day involving one of my disagreements with the God of Wind – see Facebook)…
Views southeast…
Writing for me is a mobile thing – in town or at House. And whether I write better in one place or another depends entirely on what mood I’m in on the day. Sort of the same for anything really, isn’t it?
I can certainly see myself relaxing and reading there.
It’s an incredibly quiet room with quiet colours, and resonates with the turtle doves out in the garden, Ann. Perfect when you need to retain the information you are reading for research.
Glad to know I’m not the only one with books filled with sticky notes 🙂 Great photos, Prue. It looks like a peaceful reading & writing space.
char the books go back on the shelves with my stickies, the they are a ready reference for my failing memory.
