My mum…
Always elegant, always funny and loved by all whose lives she touched.
Adept at everything from baiting fish hooks, gardening, cleaning fish, and cooking like a queen, to the lesser tasks of bucketing out septic tanks!
Swam like Esther Williams, a joy to watch, always with a swimming cap.
Played brilliant tennis, was quite an artist and embroiderer. Made beautiful gowns for herself and for me.
Fabulous in swimwear, evening wear or gardening clothes.
Adored her husband. Loved visiting Asia annually with him and like Dad, had many Asian friends.
Drove herself swiftly here and there until she became legally blind.
Suffered pain and blindness with such dignity and strength.
I miss her…
