Hotfooting…
First day of November and it’s hot and humid…
And windy…
The berries need watering…
The veggies too…
The poor agapanthus are desperate for a bit of a hose…
Keeping the bedroom cool…
Keeping the porch cool…
Keeping the Dog cool…
Keeping me cool. On the sunlounge under the Japanese maple… reading about the Waldensians in the twelfth century. I fell asleep…
The heat is a sign of our summer to come. And one of my friends went for the first swim of the season today.
Envious…
Its very grey here and so foggy you can barely see the house next door! For us its a day for indoor things. Hope you enjoyed the nap. I am glad though that our weather isn’t as hot as yours.
I can’t imagine fog that thick these days. We have wispy sea fog but nothing substantial. I can remember it like that as a child in another place – we lived on a river and the fogs and temperature inversion were well-known. We’d go to school in fog in the morning and if we were very lucky it would lift by lunchtime!
The Nana nap was wonderful, thank you and the temperature under the Japanese maple was lovely. I must be getting old, Libby.
One world, many places, here in NJ it is cool and dry, yesterday I changed the oil in the snow blower and stacked up some firewood for the weather to come. ‘Spring ahead and Fall Behind’ Someday I will get to Australia for sure……
The need for snow blowers and thick layered clothing is something I can’t imagine, Jim. Even though it is going to be a hot summer, I do believe that mostly we are blessed by our wonderfully temperate climate here in Tasmania.
