A sunshiny day!
This really brightened a day of writer’s block . . . from butnotyet.wordpress.com/author/thefondimpossibility and all because I write very occasionally about Richard Armitage’s alter egos in the form of fan-fiction. She says there’s no sunshine like men who wear black. To which I might just add . . . leather!
- Thank you TFI. I send the award onwards to a blog who always makes me laugh, because that’s what sunshine’s all about:

- Hopefully there’ll be a Pillow Book and another Sheriff’s Collector piece up soon!
Congrats! And yes, black leather with a wench makes for a wrenching luscious fic.
Getting close to the line there, iz4blue.
Yay – congratulations, my dear! Definitely deserve – your posts always make me smile 🙂 <— see?!
Thank you Clare.
Guess what, went north for a picnic today and called in to a little town renowned for its ‘antiques and collectables’ stores. Found the most glorious French hand-painted fan, circa late 1700’s-early 1800’s. Colours were muted and the figurative work superb. Mounted in a handcrafted gold frame the same shape as the fan. Liked it better if it was out of the frame. Cost? $A 585.00 I think that’s almost 250 UK pounds. Also one portable cedar writing case (circa 1850’s) $A1800. Approx 900 UK pounds. Aaaahhh!! Needless to say came home empty-handed but thrilled to see Cornishware rolling pin valued to infinity and back, as I have one!
Wowie – that sounds lovely! Maybe it’s a good thing I’m not rich – I’d only spend it all on antique fans and silly things like that!! XD Boo to the expensive writing case! I noticed that they were way more expensive in antique shops than ebay or auctions, maybe you could find one that way? But yay for the rolling pin! It’s always nice to find out something you own has a certain value, even if you’re not planning to sell. Sounds like a great trip!
And thank you, dear MG, Ra die-hard of the most sterling kind, for awarding me a Sunshine Award as well. I’m doubly-blessed.
